Agartala (Tripura) [India], September 29 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha criticised the opposition CPI (M) and Congress on Sunday, alleging that both parties spread superstitions during their time in power.
Saha said this while addressing a gathering after watching the 114th episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat at Booth No. 20 of 6 Agartala Mandal.
Speaking at the event, Saha said that a time will come when there will be no alternative to the BJP.
“In the coming days, there will be a time when there is no substitute for the BJP, as our party always works for the people and for development. For the past 35 years, CPIM’s rule has given us superstition, and even Congress spread the same. No one will be spared. Don’t ever try to confuse the people–they have lost the support of the people,” said the CM.

“The BJP now has almost 6 lakh members. If we come out on the road, they will be nowhere. During the floods, every BJP worker, MLA, and Minister was with the people to help them, but afterwards, the opposition came out and started blaming us. They did the same during COVID. The state witnessed massive violence during the CPIM and Congress eras. We will not close those chapters. Our government has always prioritised the development of the state,” added CM Saha.
Saha also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and outreach, highlighting the uniqueness of Mann Ki Baat, where the Prime Minister regularly interacts with the public.
“It started in 2014. We can learn so much from it. PM Modi, in advance, wished us well for Durga Puja and Diwali and encouraged us to live peacefully. He is our Pradhan Sevak. We are working by following his direction, starting with the Swachh Bharat and Swachh Tripura Abhiyan. We must work to keep our areas clean. We should take time from our busy schedules to do so. We must also cleanse our hearts. PM Modi always emphasises positive things,” he said.
The Chief Minister further noted that PM Modi consistently stresses Vocal for Local. “Due to Vocal for Local, the value of our products has increased in foreign markets. India always strives for unity. We are blessed to have a Prime Minister like him,” he added. (ANI)
