Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 16 (ANI): In a press conference on Thursday, Sanjay Raut, Rajya Sabha MP and leader of Shivsena UBT took potshots at Prime Minister Modi and Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde.
The condemnation came after PM Narendra Modi’s remarks of ‘nakli’ on Shivsena (UBT) in his rally on Wednesday.
Sanjay Raut, while addressing the media, alleged that those who had looted the Shiv Sena are now calling others thieves.
In response to allegations made by Prime Minister Modi, Sanjay Raut stated, “The thief himself is speaking, the one who has looted our party is speaking. PM Modi, the Home Minister, and the Election Commission assisted them (the Shivsena – Eknath Shinde faction) in validating the party. We are not fake; they are the supreme thieves; stating lies and running the country. This is why we need to change the government in India to safeguard the constitution.”
“We have managed the party very well. The country will see on June 4th where Shivsena (UBT), NCP-SCP, and Congress stand and where the BJP actually is,” he added.
Speaking about the speculations of Mamta Banerjee supporting the INDIA alliance from the outside, Sanjay Raut said, “Mamta is didi for everybody. Whether she is in the alliance or not, she is also fighting against the BJP, and we are all together in the effort. Her support is welcomed.”
On Wednesday, PM Modi in his rally at Dindori, called Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena “nakli.” The PM said that Congress is losing so badly that it is difficult for them even to become a valid opposition.
“Congress is losing so badly that it is difficult for them even to become a valid opposition. A leader of the INDI alliance in Maharashtra suggested that all the small parties in Maharashtra should merge with Congress after the elections. This fake Shiv Sena and fake Nationalist Party will certainly merge with Congress,” he said.
“When this fake Shiv Sena merges with Congress, I will remember Bala Saheb Thackeray the most, because Bala Saheb also used to say that the day he felt that Shiv Sena has become Congress, that day he will end Shiv Sena, meaning that now there will be no trace of fake Shiv Sena,” he added while addressing a public rally in Dindori.
